WHAT IS POLYSLIDER?
POLYSLIDER is a filled nylon plastics developed by us for molding precision machine parts. Filling material is mainly graphite and its high content give the material better bearing capacity.
WHAT IS POLYSLIDER TAPE?
POLYSLIDER TAPE is a special tape made from POLYSLIDER in which graphite particles are evenly distributed. Extruded POLYSLIDER TAPE is rolled and the graphite granules in the tape are pressed flat, which markedly improve the bearing capacity of the tape. This manufacturing process is originally developed by us and patented (Japanese patent No.507409)
ADVANTAGES OF POLYSLIDER TAPE
POLYSLIDER TAPE seldom causes creep deformation by the effect of thrust load. It is because POLYSLIDER TAPE has high resistance to compressive creep and supports the thrust load with its flat graphite granules.
POLYSLIDER TAPE offers the following mechanical property advantages:
(1) High resistance to creep, hence no change in thickness.
(2) Low coefficient of friction.
(3) Good dimensional stability because of least dimensional change by absorption of moisture.
(4) Good thermal conductivity.
(5) Low density and lgith weight.
APPLICATIONS
POLYSLIDER TAPE has already been used for numerous industrial parts with most favorable acceptance. For example, it is extensively used in automotive parts, household electrical appliances, food machinery, general industrial machinery and many others.

APPLICATION METHODS
POLYSLIDER TAPE is punched out to desired geometry with a punching press to usel. It seldom burrs during punching.
When using POLYSLIDER TAPE to make thrust washers or friction plates, smooth the contact surface of the mating metal. Also deburr and bevel the edges. REMEMBER - presence of even a slight burr will scratch the surface of POLYSLIDER TAPE resulting in accelerated wear.
